Research, Innovation, and Student Enterprise (RISE) Summit 2023 kicked off with its initial stage dubbed “The Core” covering the topic “All about the UN SDGs”. The event was initiated by the Supreme Student Council of Pablo Borbon in partnership with Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Development and Extension Services (OVCRDES) and Sustainability Development Office-Pablo Borbon.

Dr. Vaberlie P. Mandane-Garcia, Sustainability Development Officer of the University, explored and provided real life and practical examples of student-led initiatives to address the SDGs.

Realizing the role of student as future leaders of society, “The Core” initiative aimed to raise awareness among Spartans regarding the 17 UN SDGs. The objective is to integrate these goals into their mindset and decision-making process as they progress to become policymakers, business leaders, and members of their communities.

The event took place through a Zoom Meeting and was streamed on Facebook Live on March 25, 2023.
