In a collaborative effort, twenty students from Batangas State University (BatStateU-The NEU)and Lingnan University Hong Kong (LU),recently embarked on a two-week journey to develop impactful projects40 during the Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Summer Academy. Held at BatStateU's Pablo Borbon Campus, the program aimed to localize inclusive business concepts and empower local communities.

The program, established through a partnership between LU and the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), aims to introduce and localize the concept of inclusive business (IB) within the university ecosystem.

One team focused on refining the WaterScope water testing system, ensuring safe water for communities. In Lobo, Batangas, another group enhanced a solar-powered irrigation system for farmers, seeking wider adoption and improvements. Additionally, students collaborated with the Bagong Silang San Juan, Batangas Farmers Association to rebrand and enhance their Choco-coated Banana Chips product.

This collaborative effort not only showcased students' innovation but also their commitment to socially responsible solutions. By working closely with communities and local institutions, these projects hold the potential to create lasting positive change.
