The Blue Zone Summit 2024 took place on January 20 at Paraiso Village Farm, Sabang, San Jose, Batangas. The event celebrated senior citizens’ longevity and aimed to establish Paraiso as the first BLUE ZONE FARM in the Philippines. In collaboration with Batangas State University – The National Engineering University and the Local Government Unit of San Jose, the initiative supports Sustainable Development Goals, including Good Health and Well-Being, Reduced Inequalities, Responsible Consumption, Life on Land, and Partnerships for the Goals.

Registration began at 9:00 am, welcoming guests with a performance by the BatStateU Rondalla. At 10:00 am, attendees participated in a Catholic mass at the Serenity Chapel or a Christian service at Sunrise Park. A ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Mr. Tony Meloto, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, Mr. Franklin Quijano, and Mr. Ricardo Casabuena, marked the event’s official start and symbolized unity in promoting longevity.

The summit featured expert-led discussions on wellness and longevity at the Green Barn. Topics included Singapore’s Blue Zone status, the potential for Paraiso Village Farm to follow, longevity strategies for youth and seniors, and healthy lifestyles for a long life.

A key moment was the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the BSU Paraiso Longevity Program Partnership, solidifying commitments to promoting wellness. The event concluded with an afterparty, building connections and celebrating shared goals. The summit reinforced the vision of a community dedicated to purposeful, healthy, and joyful longevity.
