The Curriculum and Instruction Office held a face-to-face seminar-workshop on curriculum revision on February 1-3, 2023.

The three-day event took place at the 5th Floor, Function Hall of SSC Building II, Pablo Borbon Campus and was participated by the curriculum developers of the university. Primarily, the Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs of constituent campuses, Heads of Academic Affairs of extension campuses, Heads of General Education Courses, College Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs, and Program Chairs.

The seminar-workshop focused on the revitalization of the key concepts of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework, course mapping, and preparation of the curricular program and course syllabus which is adaptive and parallel to the present needs of the academe, placement and integration of the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) in non-engineering fields and integration of sustainable development principles and skills, peace studies/education and indigenous people studies/education and gender and development in the curriculum.

After the seminar-workshop, university curriculum developers are expected to submit the revised curricular programs within the second quarter and implementation are expected by August 2023 as the new school year begins.
